Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Mike Sewak is not a man easily pleased.

Don Paul took longer than normal to choose his wardrobe for Thursday night's game against Miami.

The Jackets will be more than casual observers of Saturday's ACC action.

Callie Miller tallied a match-best 15 kills and Chrissy DeMichelis chipped in 11 more to help Georgia Tech (19-9, 11-7 ACC) to a 3-0 sweep (25-10, 25-11, 25-21) of Boston College (7-23, 1-17 ACC) Friday night at O'Keefe Gym.

Junior Hannah Krimm won the three-meter event on day one of action at the Georgia Tech Diving Invitational held today. Krimm was in fifth-place after prelims, but had a score of 307.10 to win the event by 9.50 points over Florida State's Katherine Adham. Miami, Alabama and Auburn also competed in the meet.

Georgia Tech Swimming and Diving Coach Stu Wilson has announced that swimmers Eric Chiu (Martinez, Ga. / Lakeside), Michael Hart (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West), Colin Schouten (Lititz,Pa. / Warwick), Morgan Trickett (Greenville, S.C./JL Mann), Alexis Weber (Atlanta, Ga. / West Forsyth) and Mary Wunderle (Mason, Ohio / William Mason) have signed national letters of intent. In addition, divers Chris Khosravi (Missouri City, Texas / Elkins) and Brandon Makinson (Calgary, Alberta / National Sport School) signed national letters of intent during the early signing period as well.

Already banged up to begin with, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lost a number of additional players during Thursday night’s game against Miami. With the way their offense hummed against the Canes, it didn’t matter. Coach Paul Johnson’s triple-option attack flummoxed Miami’s formidable defense to give a commonwealth a simple message: “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.”
