West Virginia (-5.5) at Cincinnati
– The Bearcats have quietly put together a nice season, led by Senior QB Ben Mauk and a stingy defense. Cincinnati faces the 6th-ranked team in the country, and the key is to slow down WVU QB Pat White. As much as we like Cincinnati, it is overmatched here. Pick: West Virginia –5.5

Boston College at Clemson (-8.5) – Two weeks ago, BC was ranked number 2 in the nation. Now it is an 8.5-point dog at Clemson. We love Matt Ryan and believe his leadership drives the Eagles. BC is facing one of the hottest teams in the country, Clemson. The Tigers defense has been great all year and should be able to contain Ryan and company. We like Clemson to win but BC to cover. Pick: Boston College +8.5

Mississippi State at Arkansas (-11) – What more does MSU have to do to get some respect? It has beaten Alabama, Kentucky, and Auburn but is still an 11-point dog. The defense needs to keep McFadden and Jones in check in order to win. We like a close game here. Pick: Mississippi +11

Duke at Notre Dame (-6) – We decided it would be fun to pick a Division III game this week. These are two of the worst teams in Division I football. If Weiss can’t get a win, he deserves to lose his job. We don’t think 6 points will be scored in this game. Take the under. Pick: Duke +6

Ohio State (-4.5) at Michigan – Both teams enter this big rivalry with losses last week. Michigan continues to juggle its offense because of injuries to Chad Henne and Mike Hart. Will the two play this week? Would they really miss their last game against Ohio State and last at-home game in their careers? Of course they’re playing, but can they gel as an offense after their sporadic playing time? Henne and Hart’s presence will be enough to keep within the spread. Pick: Michigan +4.5

Kentucky at Georgia (-8) – We thought the Bulldogs youth would take a year to develop before becoming one of the best teams in the nation. It hasn’t taken long, and now Georgia is searching for an SEC championship. The Wildcats have dropped off the radar following a 31-14 loss to Mississippi State two weeks ago. Andre’ Woodson will keep this game within 8 points, but the Bulldogs will win. Pick: Kentucky +8

Oklahoma (-8) at Texas Tech – Texas Tech beat the Sooners last time they visited Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders put up 43 points against Texas last week. It’s too bad they gave up 59 points in the same game. The Sooners offense and defense is better than both teams. This game will take four hours to play. Pick: Oklahoma -8

Penn State (-2.5) at Michigan State – The Nittany Lions give at least two turnovers to the opposing team when they play on the road. The Spartans played a trounced Purdue last week in West Lafayette. The home field will be the difference and give the Spartans another victory in the Big Ten. Pick: Michigan State +2.5
