All-Star and captain Joe Johnson isn't the only Hawks player willing or able to take big shots with a game on the line.

• TRADE WINDS BLOWING: Former Hawks' captain Al Harrington was traded to New York from Golden State on Friday for Jamal Crawford, the latest in an intriguing string of trades (and trade rumors) to shake up the league this season. Significant trade activity this early in the season sparks conversations in locker rooms, mostly because no one knows when the moves will stop. "I am shocked to see some of the stuff that's gone on this year, especially the Chauncey Billups-for-Allen Iverson deal," said Hawks captain and All-Star Joe Johnson. "But that's part of the NBA. Maybe teams are clearing space for the summer of 2010 or whatever, I don't know. I'm just a player, not a coach or a general manager, so I don't know what teams are thinking."

On the surface, the Hawks' 7-4 record looks good considering their rugged early season schedule.
