With highlights on both the men's and the women's sides, the Air Force swimming teams finished day two of competition at the UCI/Nike Cup, hosted by UC Irvine at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool. The men remain in second place in the team standings with 714.5 points, behind conference foe UNLV, while the women are in 13th place with 161.5 points.

The Air Force boxing team continued to showcase its talent during another round of Friday Night Fights on Nov. 21. It was another exciting night of hotly contested bouts, as all but one went to the final bell. Senior Sean May, one of nine winners on the night, was named the Academy's Boxer of the Week.

Jeff Hajner and Matt Fairchild each scored two goals as 12th-ranked Air Force beat Sacred Heart, 8-1, Friday night in an Atlantic Hockey Association game in front of a school-record crowd of 3,535 at the Cadet Ice Arena. With the win, Air Force remains the only undefeated, untied team in the nation and moved to 11-0 overall and 9-0 in the AHA. Air Force is in first place with 18 conference points. Canisius is in second place with nine points. Sacred Heart fell to 2-7-2 overall and 2-5-2 in the league.

Tom Olson, a 6-foot-6 offensive tackle from Fridley (MN) Totino-Grace, is a three sport standout for the Eagles, who have been a dominant team in Class AAAA. GoldenSports.Net recently caught up with Olson to learn the latest on his recruitment.
